When the Old Playbook Stops Working, What Do You Do?

Casual Office Hours -- growth feels better together

Guest Expert Tim Bieber - Oct 3rd at 11 am PST

Most business owners think of a CRM as a glorified address book or a sales tracker. But paired with automation—and now AI—it becomes a force multiplier. Tim Bieber is joining Office Hours to show us how to move from busywork to business growth, with a live demo of Go High Level (GHL) in action.

What you’ll take away:

  • 🚀 Why “just a CRM” isn’t enough — the difference between storing data, tracking pipelines, and building an engine that runs your business.

  • ⚙️ Automation as your unfair advantage — how to eliminate repetitive tasks, save hours every week, and scale without hiring a bigger team.

  • 🤖 The power of built-in AI — practical ways AI inside your CRM can sharpen sales, streamline marketing, and simplify operations.

Stepping Up When You Feel Like a Fraud

Our last session was a perfect example of what happens when a group of smart, driven individuals comes together and shares their vulnerabilities. We saw the power of getting out of your own way and the value of group intelligence to help you get unstuck. Two members stepped into the hot seat and shared their challenges, and the collective wisdom of the community delivered some serious truth bombs.

The main theme was this: what got you to where you are won't get you to where you want to go. Whether it's a marketing pivot or a dream of building a more impactful business, the answers you need are often already within you, waiting for a community to help you see them. We talked about working smarter, not harder, and how being in community with people who have different skill sets and perspectives can unlock a path forward.

We all got stuck at some point, and we want to be unstuck with what we're working towards

Top Insights & Action Steps

1. The Problem Isn't the Market, It's the Plan

A member came to the hot seat because his market had shifted dramatically due to tax laws and post-COVID changes. He had a brand new online course ready to launch but no clear marketing plan.

Insight: Your next steps don't have to be a mystery. The people you've already worked with are your greatest resource. They trust you and can tell you what they need and where they spend their time.

Try this / Ask yourself: Don't just "try." Instead, commit to a number. Who are 20 people in your existing network you can reach out to this week for feedback and testimonials?

2. Your Funnel is a Mess (and That's Okay)

A member expressed that his hard work on social media isn't yielding the same results it used to. He’s stuck at the same revenue level and feels like he’s grinding to stay there.

Insight: The traditional sales funnel is dead. Today's buyers need more touch points and a highly personalized journey. The effort you put into free, low-dollar offers may not be worth the return if those people aren’t your ideal clients.

Try this / Ask yourself: Who are your best clients, and what consistent characteristics do they have? Now, build a plan around finding more people just like them.

3. You Already Have the Answer

Both members in the hot seat were able to identify their next steps during the session. They knew they needed to reach out to their network, and they knew what they were willing to do to get to their next level.

Insight: Sometimes, the biggest challenge isn't a lack of knowledge or a flawed plan. It’s resistance to doing what you already know you need to do to get unstuck.

Try this / Ask yourself: Look at your biggest challenge right now. What’s the one thing you’re holding yourself back from doing?

Coaching Nudge:

What got you here won't get you there. It's a simple truth, but it's a powerful one. We often get so comfortable with the work we’ve been doing that we resist the very thing that will lead to our next big breakthrough. "What's the one thing you would have to do to start living that life starting today?" The answer might feel like more work, but it's the work that's going to get you out of the grind and into your dreams.
